Nollywood Actor Olamilekan Shoneye, popularly known as Papa Show, has been suspended from an African Men Entertainment Kings, an actors grouo, for physically assaulting his female junior colleague, Temidayo Morakinyo This comes hours after the actress called out the actor for assaulting her while on a movie set in Ibadan on Thursday. The actress showed off her bleeding lips in a video she shared from a movie set in Ibadan, Oyo state, and accused Shoneye of punching her in the face after she reported his excesses to her boss on Thursday, May 18. Reacting to this in a letter shared on AFRIMEK’s Instagram handle on Friday, the club said that the actor has been sanctioned and placed on indefinite suspension. Abia Governor -elect, Dr Alex Otti, has urged Abians not to panic over his purported sack by a Federal High Court in Kano.  It was reported earlier that Otti's candidature and other Labour party members in Abia and Kano states were nullified on grounds of not being in compliance with the provisions of the 2022 electoral act.  The judge ruled that the failure of the Labour Party to submit its membership register to the INEC within 30 days before their primaries renders the process null and void. Otti  reacted to the judgement and said that arrangements for his swearing- in on May 29 is on full gear as planned. He told Vanguard that the antics of the "enemies of democracy" cannot truncate the will of Abians. Labour Party Chairman in Abia State, Hon. Carrie, 35, wife of Ex- Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, is pregnant with her third child. Daily Mail reported on Friday the Carrie made the announcement on her Instagram page. The latest addition, which will be the  third child of the couple, would make the former prime minister a father of eight   Carrie also added that the baby was will be due next month. The Founder of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City and best selling author, Timothy Keller died on Friday at age 72, in his home after battling with pancreatic cancer for three years.  His family disclosed that he died with his wife of 48 years, Kathy, by his side on Friday. Sharing the news on his Twitter page, his son, Michael Keller wrote “Timothy J. Keller, husband, father, grandfather, mentor, friend, pastor, and scholar died this morning at home.  “Dad waited until he was alone with Mom. She kissed him on the forehead and he breathed his last breath. We take comfort in some of his last words, There is no downside for me leaving, not in the slightest. See you soon Dad.” Keller and his family started Redeemer Church in 1989, and the congregation went on to welcome more than 5,000 attendees across its multiple locations each week. 

Gunmen suspected to be armed robbers have killed an e-hailing driver identified as Raphael Toby in Rumuibiakani, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. Nigeria singer Joeboy was prevented from performing in a show at St Lucia after his DJ said used curse word on stage. According to what the singer posted on his Instagram page, the DJ said “Make some fucking noise” while he was on stage. The curse word angered the organizers and they took the DJ of the stage and they refused to allow both him and the DJ to perform. Joeboy said he pleaded with the organizers to allow him to perform on stage but they refused and even threatened to  get him arrested.
